No, catching that scorpion will not endanger your life in any way. They’re only dangerous to people who are allergic (which is rare), and I don’t think anyone’s died from one in the last 30 years. Besides, all you need is a jar on one side and a lid on the other side to scoop with. You don’t have to touch the thing :-)
Did you say Tucson is 2 hours south of Phoenix? How slow were you driving? LOL…
