New Shoes, New Skateboard, New Computer…(sorta), Got Back From Trip, And Lots of Pictures, All Deserve a New Blog Post! ..(This is Probably My Longest Blog Title)
Ok, so here I am blogging again.
Thanks for your comments; as you’ve seen from my posts, I’ve been really busy and unfortunately, I haven’t had time to reply to any of them. But yes Jake, I’ll be blogging about my new (used, but new to me) laptop a little here and more in a later post.
Anyhow, we got back from our FL trip on the 9th, had Mom’s birthday on the 10th (like I blogged), and left for IN on, I think, the 11th. So, everything was pretty busy. Right before we left from FL, this artist drew a cartoon version of the kids. And this is what we got…
LUKE
LEVI (Beav)
JULIA
Haha, pretty funny… scary…weird…
I really like FL. It’s on of my favorite states.
Anyhow, onto the IN trip…
Like I said, we left somewhere around the 11th for IN. We went to meet with some new TOS staff and we also got to see the Dixons (YAY)! We had only enough time to meet up for a few hours. So we chose to meet somewhere, where we could catch a WiFi signal (I was going to help Amanda customize a laptop from Dell so we needed to be online) like, Panera! Although we love Panera, after walking in, we quickly realized that this was not the place for a party of 16 to eat. Ha, the place was jam packed. Bummersville… Quickly thinking of a solution, err, better said, an alternative, I suggested we all eat at BestBuy! :P They got, like, bubble gum… and chips, …right? But alas, after a bit of confusion, the group settled on the idea of driving over to Olive Garden and seeing how long the wait would be. Amazingly, they quoted a 15 minute wait which turned out to be a convenient 3 minute wait. Oh, and by the way, this was right around lunch time (1:00pm or so). I, wondering what was wrong with their food to produce such a void of customers (the place was pretty empty), decided to secure a mint from their front podium thing, just in case.
Whipping out my laptop, I quickly learned that my charger obviously hadn’t been working, for my battery was as low as my expectations for this restaurant. And to top it off, there were no WiFi’s within range anyhow. Feeling a bit irritated (this was the laptop I had inherited, which I will blog about in the next entry), I quickly closed it up and made my attempt to socialize with the group, only to feel a weird sensation within my nose… Assuming I had somehow instantly caught a cold which was making my nose run, I made my way to the bathroom… *Ahem* luckily, I had no cold; unfortunately, I had a slight bloody nose. TMI??? (My mother is glaring at me)
I’ll spare you the details.
Ok, moving on…
To my surprise, I found that the Olive Garden food was most excellent and to a degree that I even felt a bit ashamed for doubting and necessitating that mint before dinner. Getting over it, I ate the satisfying food and talked to Jocelyn about her goats, which was quite an interesting dialogue. Something about her goats possibly kidding soon and maybe her making a lot of money off of them or something like that. Sounded cool whatever it was.
Anyhow, our meal was soon over and after shamelessly eating quite a few more mints, we had to say “good bye.”:(
So, we left and headed to
Ha, here are a few pictures of their little daughter holding our fat Sani. They look like they’d weigh the same, hahahaha….
Here are some pictures of Sani taken a couple days ago - she’s showing us how she can smile. :D
Well, after a ton of pizza and the right amount of Cherry Coke, we hit the road runnin’. We drove as far as we could, stayed the night in, I think,
Ok, about my really cool shoes! And, my really cool skaterboard! *echoes three times like the car commercials*
Yes, it’s true, I finally, after two years, got some really nice skate shoes that I’m pretty well pleased with. It’ll take a while to break them in but once they’re there, they’ll be… there, err, yeah, wait, what? Ok, never mind. Anyhow, I got a few pictures of my old, broken skaterboarder board and some of my new shoes, board, and them in a sweet combo. Take a look…
I think I like my new one better…
And look what it says! :D
New trucks! :P
What yellow stuff???
Oh, that?
That, is yellow duct tape. I’ll show you why in just a sec…
I put the tough duct tape on my leading/flipping foot. That way it won’t wear my shoe down. As long as I keep duct tape on that part of that one foot, my shoes should last forever.
Fakie-Flip in our basement
Me, attempting a TRE-Flip, which I did not land but it was a good shot. I wear white socks, see?
Hmm, not sure what I was doing there, but, I tell ya, it wouldn’t be possible without my awesome shoes. :P
Grab trick? Yes Dixons, I just realized, but that is the same shirt and, I think, probably the same sleeve that is pushed up… no explanation…
That was a good Ollie…
Fakie Pop-Shuvit 360.
Now, Levi’s a Skaterboarder in training….
OoooOoo, aaahhhh…..
:P
Dylianos, sorry but, I have to throw this in here… I can skate better IN REAL LIFE than you could at Tony Hawk! Hahaha…. (sorry people, inside joke) :D
Ha, alright, that’s it! Sorry it took me forever… it aways does. It’s my birthday the day after tomorrow, so, I’ll tell you about that… some other time. Hint: see this basement? It’s *the* place for Lan Parties — and my birthday is here Saturday. This basement is about to become a war zone….more later.
Laterooski!

Ok…. those drawings are HILARIOUS! Where is yours? I don’t think Luke’s looks like him, but Levi’s does. Not sure about Julia’s.
Yeah, we had some “interesting” conversation about the goats… yeah. btw, wanna a male, pure-bred Nubian? Know of someone who does????
Sani is so adorable. She’s getting so big. It’s going to be fun watching her and Luc grow up together, and watching Auntie dress them up and make … I mean let them have tea parties. :)
Oh is that the skateboard you thew across the lawn because you… I mean … it didn’t do what it was supposed to? Oh was that your new one? Couldn’t remember. lol :D That’s funny it has penguin written on it.
New shoes look awesome… never really know anyone who wore those, just different people, but now they will remind me of you (and your yellow duct tape!). Haha yeah, what is up with your sleeve dude??
Hey Levi, why didn’t you put a shirt on *before* you took the pictures! LOL
well, I’ve gotta go…. do something… really, really really fun. :D Yeah right.

Haha! Gatta love the cartoons! I think Levi’s looked the most like him.
What games are you playing at your birthday? You haven’t told me yet so I didn’t buy any. If I play it’ll have to be one of my games I have =P

Hahahaha, you guys are funny…
Only the kids got their picture done.
And after seeing how those turned out, I’m not sure I want mine done!
:P

I can see you like the shoes! Those portraits are funny…caricatured. Rachel and I got sketch portraits done in New York City a decade ago (the guy actually did quite a good job in only about 15 mins.!), and then some Russian guy did a caricature portrait of my dad for free (because my dad was one of the very few people that could speak to him in his native language there…haha). Anyway, that’s what I was reminded of when I saw those pictures of yours.

Only the “kids” got their caricatures done? *Ahem* - yes, you’re 18 tomorrow. Yes, Dad and I are very proud of you and (sob), I can’t believe you are all grown up. BUT — you are ALWAYS going to be a “kid” to me. You are, in fact, MY BABY BOY. Mama’s Baby Sweet Baldy Cutie Preciousy Hunny-Bunny Baby Boy. My - what a flashback to the last 18 years I just had.
Sigh. Good thing I had Sani. I have instant baby cuddly time ANY time I want it now!!!! I don’t wanna hold you on my lap anymore. Step back. You might hurt me!!!! Big Monstery Huge Musclely Oafish Enormousy Big BABY BOY. That work?
Mama Loves Paulie.
March 24th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
HAhaha, wow Mom…
Did you just call me Baldy?
Oafish?
Enormousy?
Ha, golly, you make me sound huge.
Haha,
Thanks, Mom.
I figured something like this would get posted on here.
It’s ok, I’m still your “Hunny-Bunny Baby Boy”.
