What I’ve Been Up To
EDIT: There are a few videos that are uploading. I’ll put them in the post as soon as they’re done.
I am working on two long entries but they won’t be done for a while
So, I wanted to write a quick update.
But, what about?
What should I blog about? Do what everyone else is doing and write about Thanksgiving? Why do we have one day dedicated to giving thanks? I heard on the news that this will be a day of mourn for some. It is a day of mourn because the first thanksgiving was started when “the white man” tricked the Indians into selling Mana-hattan Island for only 24 bucks or something crazy like that. Mana-Hattan, that’s what the Indians used to call present day
“…the sale of land was so unprofitable to the Indians.
Hmm, people have messed it all up. The thought, of Thanksgiving being a day of mourn is… well, what do you think about that?
This is a great day (like any other) to praise and thank God for all that he has given us.
The English showed thanks to the Indians for helping them and teaching them about the new land (plants, animals, geography, and so on…) and to God for their safe trip and the new land.
But, I don’t really want to blog about thanksgiving as a holiday.
So, going back to my original question, what should I blog about. Well, I was asking Eric and he said that I should pick something totally random and swing off that. Like, some bubble gum I found under my chair. You want to hear about that? Didn’t think so… Hahah, he thought a great topic would be about his old broken flash bulb on his nice camera… Why would I want to blog about that? Well, it looks like I am… It’s actually kinda interesting. He was in
Haha, not a whole lot to say. Well, I told you; it’s just a little updater.
So, I better start updating you all.
My computer has a shell32 infection and a worm in the form of a “.dll” file… great! Time to either fix this computer or get a new one.
Mom is doing ok. She still has high blood pressure. At least the baby is nice and active. I can’t wait ‘til she’s here. A large part of our staff was up at our house a few weeks ago and threw mom ANOTHER shower. So now we have diapers, wipes, a changing table, a crib, a bouncy seat, a bunch of nice cozy blankets, a lot of cute clothes, socks, hats, I think some bottles, toys, diaper bag, and now I think we just need a stroller/car-seat combo.
Hahah, that’s a lot of stuff. At least we’re almost ready. She’ll be here in only a few weeks!
We went to Cade’s Cove about a week or so ago. It was a lot of fun. Cade’s Cove is a large figure eight that takes you all through the Smoky hills. We had a great time. Mrs. Wuehler was the last person to leave (from the staff meetings). So she got to come with us. But you won’t believe what we saw up there so I included this video to show you:
Pretty cool, huh?
I’ve been working a lot. I was rushing to get ready for college because I thought I’d try to squeeze in for the spring semester. Not enough time though. I’ll just wait for the Fall I think. I have several great classes in my portfolio. So we’ll see how that goes. My home school academy (Home Life Academy) has already signed my high school transcripts and issued me a high school diploma – I’m expecting it to come in the mail pretty soon here. Jolly! I’m finally graduated!
My HSB job is doing pretty well. I love doing tech support and site admin. I think Eric and I make a pretty good team. What do you think, Man?
My web development? Hmmm, it really has slowed down. I’ve been really busy. Haven’t had a lot of time. I’m not doing a very good job marketing www.BlogStatter.com either. Any ideas on how to get every HSB’er on there? Let me know and I’ll give you something! :D
I’m working on an online store. It’s been really hard. Hahaha, it’s taking me forever! I’ll release more details on it later. And I’m also working on another “top secret” site project. I can’t wait to tell you all about it. It’s going to be amazing when finished. It’s currently not presentable. But I’ll keep you updated!
Yesterday was Luke’s actual birthday!
He had a birthday party when the staff was here and last night he had another one with the Marcums!
Happy birthday, Luke!!!
He turned 16. And he has been studying his drivers book so he can get his permit tomorrow. For his birthday he got this really awesome electronic game called 20 Questions Pocket! You think of something, anything at all and it has 20 questions to figure it out.
It almost ALWAYS gets it right! It guessed rhubarb, halo, time, and Siberian tiger. We were only able to stump it once on, I think, “God”. It guessed “angel”. Haha, which was pretty close. After losing it says, “Ah, I lost. How human of me.”
Hahaha, we had a pretty good birthday with him at the Marcums’.
It was a fun day.
I wanted to quickly link to my friend, Tim. He wrote a very good entry on relationships. Take a look..
Hmmm, I think that’s everything for now. Like I said, I’ll be posting a few large entries soon. They’re pretty fun.
I thank God for HSB and all of you. Thank you, Friends.
Happy Thanksgiving. Safe travels!

Ah yes, we all mourn the Thanksgiving trick on national “Stupids Day!” Lol, those weirdos! ;)
So, you put me in your entry like five times and you didn’t link me? What is the deal what that! Remember? You owed me a favor! Lol :P
Ok, well Amanda ruined my comment by posting. I will have to put another jack in their line to slow their internet down some more. JK….

I am going to link your blog… this post specifically and Levi’s for people to come and get an update on your Mom and Susannah. I think the post on them is still in the top 5 of my daily-read posts. It was as of last week. I was going to do an update again because of that, so I will be directing them here. I do appreciate them!!
I just posted about Thankfulness. We are an un-thankful, ungrateful people most of the time, if not all of the time. Alright, then, I will speak for myself. Un-thankful, ungrateful, most of the time.
You don’t even want to go into how unfairly the Indians were treated throughout history. That was interesting, though; I had not heard that fact before.
Thank you for the updates… all of them, and sorry about the worm in your pc.
Oh… and yes, Tim’s post was very good!

Ok, you are weird. This is an RYC to your weird comment. What is the deal with that comment? You want to come live with us, because I have a neat banner?
Explain or I will die from your weirdness.
Eric ;)

In reply to your comment which I had time to answer when you left it and now I have hardly any time.
Yes, that was a lot of vertical w’s (or however you would say that) and yes, we are moving to Washington state. We’re moving from central Texas to central WA. CA to TN is a big deal, certainly as big as our move will be. Of course, we won’t be making several trips to move, we’ll be driving up there with one big trailer and whatever doesn’t fit either gets mailed or left behind! My Dad is actually leaving early Wednesday morning with my Mom and youngest sis and he’ll be staying there while we stay here until May and it’s all really confusing. I’m sure you’re confused enough now so I’ll move on. Heh, well, not that I have much choice. ;-)
Oy, I’m all worded out now (amazingly enough). I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Really enjoyed reading your post.
Adios amigo!

Thanks so much for the pc help. I really appreciate it.
That is neat that Auntie read Hedge of Thorns to you all. It is very sad. I can really relate to John.
You are so welcome for the link too!!
I haven’t heard from Joe lately. He said he was soo busy. I may just have him send everything over to you…. If you want to do it.
